“You need a level 10 character” on the US WoW forums with an EU account

I found the thread about my disconnect bug on the US forums and wanted to add what had worked for me. The forum said no: I needed a character of level 10 or higher. I was level 21.
Why it happens
Blizzard’s forums are split by region, and the US forums didn’t count my character: it’s on a European realm, so for them my account had no character at all.
What to do
- Post in the European forums instead, at
eu.forums.blizzard.com, in the language section you prefer. - You can still read US threads and link to them from your post.
- If what you want is to report a bug, the game’s own bug report option (in the game menu) reaches Blizzard whatever your forum region.
